I had a wonderful weekend where I did a talk at April Point Resort and Spa on Quadra Island. It connects by ferry to Painter’s Lodge, which is a historic fishing lodge in Campbell River on Vancouver Island. Many pictures of stars like John Wayne, Bob Hope and Glenn Ford adorn the walls of Painter’s Lodge. I took some time to capture some iPhone pics during the event. I used the Libatique 73 and Float film for the landscapes, to capture the historic feel of the place. And jazzed up the food shots with more modern looking lenses and film.
Koko, being a huge Björk fan, wanted to do a shoot with the singer’s 90’s style haircut. I kept with a vintage feel for the shoot. With the iPhone I used the Ina’s 1969 film with the textured border emblematic of a mid-50’s to late 60’s, and the “Cowboys and Aliens” era Libatique 73 lens. 5D Mark II images were post-processed to give a vintage feel with Alien Ski Exposure. Played Björk on the iPhone for the entire shoot. In the 90’s I never dreamed my camera would supply the music as well.
